Pressure Load |

Door/Frame unit to withstand specified explosive pressure loads as measured in pounds per square inch (PSI) or pounds per square foot (PSF) as per ASTM E-330. As part of the submittal process the manufacturer of the door/frame unit shall submit independent test data from a recognized, licensed laboratory indicating compliance with the explosive pressure load specified by the project architect or engineer. |

Warranty |

Fabrication - Door and Frame Products |
| |
|
. 1 |
General
A. Frames and doors shall be manufacturer's proprietary standard, tested and/or engineered as part of a fully operable assembly, including door, frame, gasketing and hardware in accordance with ASTM E-330, most current edition, to provide the blast resistance specified by the architect or engineer.
B. Frames and doors shall be blanked, reinforced, drilled and tapped for mortised, templated hardware.
C. Frames and doors shall be reinforced, where required, for surface mounted hardware. Drilling and tapping shall be by others, on site, at time of installation.
D. Provide factory-applied, touch-up primer at areas where zinc coating has been removed during fabrication.

Fabrication - Frames, Welded Type |

Frame product shall be accurately mitred and securely welded on the inside of the profile. |

Welded joints shall be ground to a smooth, uniform finish. |
| |

Floor anchors shall be securely attached to the inside of each jamb profile. |
| |

. 4 |
Weld in two (2) temporary jamb spreaders per frame to maintain proper alignment during shipment. |

Provide for appropriate anchorage to floor and wall construction. Quantities, types and locations of wall anchorage shall be as per manufacturer's proprietary design.

Fabrication - Doors |
| |
|

Doors shall be swing type or sliding type, flush, with provision for explosion resistant glass as indicated on schedules. |

. 2 |
Longitudinal edges shall be (butt seamed) (seamless). |
| |
|
. 3 |
Top and bottom of doors shall be provided with inverted, recessed channels spot welded to door faces. Structural steel channels shall be welded flush to the top and bottom of the door.

Pre-Installation of Swinging Door Hardware |

Hinges & latching device to be supplied complete with door and frame in conformance with blast resistant requirements of project. |

Hinges and latching device shall be factory pre-installed on the frame/door unit.

Site Storage and Protection of Materials |

All materials shall be thoroughly inspected upon receipt and all discrepancies, deficiencies and/or damages shall be immediately reported in writing to the supplier.

Installation |

Set frames plumb, square, level and at correct elevation. |

Make allowance for deflection to ensure structural loads are not transmitted to frame product. |

Install doors and hardware in accordance with hardware templates and manufacturer's instructions. |

Adjust factory pre-installed hardware as well as all other operable parts for correct clearance and functions.
